ResTES: Peer Review, Scholarship and EAP

This online session will focus on peer review, scholarship and EAP, bringing together different perspectives and experiences from authors, editors, practitioners and reviewers to explore various aspects of peer review and scholarship in EAP. The session will have contributions from:

• ‘Peer review at its best’, Bee Bond, Professor of English for Academic Purposes and Director of Insessional, University of Leeds
• ‘Piloting EAP tests as peer review’, Eddie Cowling, Assessment Leader, University of York and Rob Playfair, EAP Teacher and Researcher, Birkbeck University
• ‘Ethics and peer review’, Alex Ding, Associate Professor of English for Academic Purposes and Director of Scholarship, University of Leeds
• ‘Reviewing peer review’, Jeni Driscoll, EAP Teacher, University of Liverpool
• ‘Publishing in academic journals: things I wish I’d known before I got started’, Nigel Harwood, Professor in Applied Linguistics, University of Sheffield

The event will take place online via Zoom. This is a free event for members and carries a small fee of £10 for non-members.
