King’s Foundations (KCL) invites you to join us at our Strand Campus or online to discuss issues of collaboration, power and influence within EAP and higher education.
As EAP professionals our work relies on effective collaboration across and beyond the university. However, our willingness to collaborate may not always be reciprocated by faculties, students and other stakeholders. Join us at King’s College London to discuss this issue, consider how power is shared in higher education and exchange ideas on how we can build influence effectively.
Plenary speaker
Dr Maxine Gilway (Director, Centre for Academic Language and Development, University of Bristol)
As well as looking back on 10 years of working with the principle of collaboration as a Centre, Maxine will consider power and influence in the context of the wider university on current issues such as the international student experience, language entry level requirements and the CEFR.
Programme
The programme is available from the KCL website.
