Salary, Grade 6/7, £32,332 – £36,024 / £39,347 – £44,263 per annum.

The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint Tutors / Lecturers in English for Academic Study (Pre-sessional) within the School of Modern Languages & Cultures.

In the role, you will contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by contributing to teaching, assessment, supervision (Grade 7) and administration processes, principally on the Summer Pre-sessional Programme, as requested by the EAS Manager/Head of SMLC, in order to contribute to learning and teaching objectives of English for Academic Study (EAS) in the School of Modern Languages & Cultures.

These posts are full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term until 23rd August 2024. Work is available in one teaching block:

• July Entry / 5-week: *Wednesday 17th July – Friday 23rd August, 2024

Positions are available for either or both of these teaching blocks. Applicants should state their availability in the covering letter accompanying an application.

*These dates are inclusive of a compulsory and comprehensive pre-course teacher induction programme.

Please note, the Summer Pre-sessional Programme will be delivered exclusively face-to-face at the University of Glasgow campus. Applicants will be required to be available for on-campus work in Glasgow for the duration of the appointment and must have the required Right to Work permissions.

We have an arrangement in place with University Accommodation services for a block of ten spaces at a 25% discounted nightly rate of £29.25 for an ensuite room.
