English Language Education (ELE) at the Centre for Open Learning is one of the longest established such centres in the UK, with almost 40 years’ experience in running English language courses. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our first class, supportive teaching team this summer.
During the peak summer period our focus is on the provision of EAP pre-sessionals, though we also offer a range of courses to closed contract courses for visiting East Asian University students.
We are seeking EAP specialists, in particular those with experience of pre-sessional courses in English for Law or TESOL/Applied Linguistics Masters. A limited number of posts are available from July to late August 2018. These are full time teaching posts with 20 timetabled hours, involving lesson preparation, written and oral feedback to students, final assessments and reports. Contract periods begin with a 3-day induction from the Wednesday preceeding the start of teaching.
Grade UoE 7.1 on scale £32,548 – £38,833. A limited amount of basic accommodation in the University area may be available at a preferential rate.
