We are seeking qualified and experienced EAP tutors with a first degree, DELTA (or equivalent) and/or CELTA (or equivalent) plus relevant MA for our BALEAP accredited summer Pre-sessional Academic English and Study Skills programme.
Qualifications:
TEFLQ status as recognised by the British Council, e.g. CELTA or equivalent (essential)
DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA (essential)
Course dates:
• July 3 – September 8 2017 (short General English course + Pre-sessional Modules 2-3) with paid Induction June 28 – 30 2017
• July 17 2017 – September 8 2017 (Pre-sessional Modules 2-3): Paid Induction July 11 – 13 2017
• August 14 2017 – September 8 2017 (Pre-sessional Module 3): Paid Induction August 9 – 11 2017
Please note that all tutors must be available for the full period of the course.
Grade 6 Point 5:
£30,175 pro rata (plus a payment after the end of the teaching period in lieu of annual leave of £637.72 for 3rd July – 8th September contracts, or £520.83 for 17th July – 8th September contracts, or £231.90 for 14th August – 8th September contracts).

Grade 6 Point 8:
£32,958 pro rata (plus a payment after the end of the teaching period in lieu of annual leave of £695.29 for 3rd July – 8th September contracts or £568.87 for 17th July – 8th September contracts or £252.83 for 14th August – 8th September contracts).
Salaries offered would depend on qualifications and experience.
There is also a separate payment of £90 per day for the 3-day induction programme.
All payments will be subject to tax and NI.
Due to the complex nature of the Pre-sessional course we request that applicants do not have any pre-existing leave requirements as this cannot be facilitated.
Limited ensuite, self-catering accommodation at centrally located University of Strathclyde residences is available for Pre-sessional tutors at discounted rates of £65 per week.
