Goldsmiths, University of London’s Centre for Academic Language and Literacies (CALL) is seeking to recruit Pre-sessional Lecturers to teach on our 12, 9 and 6-week Online interdisciplinary Pre-sessional programme (Arts and Social Sciences).
We would like to inform you that we are currently prioritizing the filling of 12-week posts. To ensure an efficient and timely recruitment process, we will be reviewing applications in order of the priority dates provided.

At present, we have three urgent vacancies available for the 12-week period and kindly request that you consider your availability for these specific dates when submitting your application.

It would be advantageous for teachers to have an interest in contemporary social theory and be able to teach the academic skills of researched essay writing, critical reading and seminar presentation, based on a range of academic texts and lectures. Materials will be provided, as will support from full-time members of staff.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• DELTA or equivalent
• MA Applied Linguistics or related discipline
• CELTA Teachers with substantial TEFL/EAP experience may have the opportunity to gain TEFL-Q status.
• Substantial EAP experience, including in UK higher Education
• Ability to manage the workload of intensive EAP courses
• Being flexible and able to work as part of a team.

The course dates including induction are as follows:

6 June 2024- 30 August 2024 (12 week)
27 June 2024 – 30 August 2024 (9 week)
18 July 2024 – 30 August 2024(6 week)

Job Salary & Benefits

Salary: Grade 7, SP (£43,036 pro rata), this is inclusive of London Allowance and paid holiday time will be added in lieu of annual leave. There is also a compulsory paid induction and some compulsory CPD workshops.
