The University of Glasgow’s School of Modern Languages and Cultures is seeking to appoint an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Pre-sessional Programme Lead (Grade 8) to oversee the development and delivery of our sector leading EAP Pre-sessional provision and to contribute to other teaching related initiatives within the School.

The post is within the Learning Teaching and Scholarship job family, which focuses on the design and delivery of learning and teaching alongside scholarship (i.e. outputs and other work that relates to the study and practice of learning and teaching within a Higher Education setting). The post-holder will also contribute to the management of the English for Academic Study Unit, which sits within the School of Modern Languages and Cultures.

In this role you will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality student experience by engaging with EAP course development, teaching, assessment and administration, and undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching in the sector. The post will have a particular responsibility for leading the development and delivery of our year-round and summer Pre-sessional EAP programme. The postholder will therefore have devolved line management responsibilities for a large team of EAP staff including the recruitment of fixed-term staff on Pre-sessional programmes.
