We are seeking qualified and experienced EAP tutors with a first degree, DELTA (or equivalent) and/or CELTA (or equivalent) plus relevant MA for the online delivery of our BALEAP accredited summer Pre-sessional Academic English and Study Skills programme.
Qualifications:
TEFLQ status as recognised by the British Council, e.g. CELTA or equivalent (essential) and
DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA (essential)
Course dates:
• Pre-sessional Modules 1-3: Induction from May 20 – 22 2020, with teaching from May 25 – August 14 2020
• Pre-sessional Modules 2-3: Induction from June 17 – 19 2020, with teaching from June 22 – August 14 2020
Please note that all tutors must be available for the full period of the course.
Grade 6 Point 5:
£31,866 pro rata (plus a payment after the end of the teaching period in lieu of annual leave of £1,223.6 for May 20 – August 14 contracts, or £829.79 for June 17 – August 14 contracts.

Grade 6 Point 8:
£34,804 pro rata (plus a payment after the end of the teaching period in lieu of annual leave of £1,336.41 for May 20 – August 14 contracts, or £906.30 for June 17 – August 14 contracts.
Salaries offered would depend on qualifications and experience.
Due to COVID-19, Pre-sessional 2020 will be delivered fully online, and tutor positions will be designed for remote working from home. Tutors will be required to have a computer or laptop with a web cam, and a reliable internet connection. The online course will be supported by self-study on Moodle, and live teaching sessions conducted on Zoom.
Payments to tutors located in the UK will be subject to tax and NI. Applications from tutors who would be working from home outside the UK for the duration of the course will be given individual advice on tax implications, depending on the country in which they are residing. Right to work checks will be conducted for either the UK, or the country in which tutors are residing. Payments will be in Pound Sterling.
Due to the complex nature of the Pre-sessional course we request that applicants do not have any pre-existing leave requirements as this cannot be facilitated.
